§ 01

How the detection works

Three signals, and the honesty to say what they don't prove.

01 / Emit

Camera glasses keep a Bluetooth link to their paired phone and announce themselves over Bluetooth Low Energy — most reliably when powering on, pairing, or leaving their case.

02 / Match

LensSentry matches those signals against a curated signature list — manufacturer identifiers verified against the Bluetooth SIG registry and real-world captures — updated over the air, so new fingerprints reach you without an app update.

03 / Report

You get a calm status, never an accusation: All clear → Possible → Likely nearby, with a proximity estimate. On Android, monitoring runs in the background and survives reboots.

§ 02

Two things most detectors won't tell you

Most hedge their alerts but let a quiet screen imply safety. We say both halves out loud — in the app, on the radar screen, not buried in a support article.

When it's quiet

A clear screen isn't a guarantee. Glasses already connected to a phone can go silent.

When it alerts

A detection isn't proof anyone is recording. It means a matching signal is nearby.

Keeps listening with the screen off and resumes after reboot, using hardware signal filters so battery isn't the price of awareness. Android.

Session log
What was seen while you were out — first seen, last seen, peak signal. Persists after you stop scanning.

Familiar-device muting
Your own glasses shouldn't hold the room on alert. Muted devices stay visible but never raise the status.

Over-the-air signatures
Detection fingerprints update from the server. When manufacturers change their signals, you don't wait for an app-store release.

Point the camera to double-check what the radar heard, analyzed entirely on-device. Every alert gets a next step.

§ 04

Private by architecture

A tool that watches for surveillance shouldn't perform any. These aren't policy promises we could quietly revise — they're how the thing is built.

No location
Bluetooth scanning is declared never-for-location at the operating-system level. We cannot see where you are.

No accounts, ads, or tracking
Nothing to sign up for, nothing profiling you. The app sends no analytics at all; this site counts page views without cookies.

Offline-first
Fully functional with no connection. Its only network use is downloading signature updates.

Opt-in contribution
You may share anonymous radio fingerprints of detected glasses to improve detection for everyone — off by default, no hardware addresses, no location, nothing about you.
